Global investment manager Schroders is supporting the CISI’s Financial Planning Mentoring Scheme by offering an exclusive helpline for the scheme mentees and mentors.
The CISI’s Financial Planning Mentoring Scheme started on 1 January 2019 and those mentors leading the scheme will be highly regarded professionals possessing the globally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFPTM) designation. Mentees must be members of both the CISI and its Financial Planning Forum who are looking for help and support to achieve their professional financial planning goals. The scheme is free to join with a library of support and information available to all mentors. A full structure is in place to establish mentees’ goals and support them along the way to achieving them.
Jacqueline Lockie CFPTM Chartered FCSI, CISI Head of Financial Planning said, “We are delighted that Schroders has wholeheartedly backed this initiative to help us support and grow the financial planning profession for the public benefit. The list of queries that Schroders can help answer is wide-ranging; from investment dealing, platforms, business consolidation and even human resources-related issues. By offering to provide those on the mentoring scheme with specialist help that might otherwise be hard or time-consuming to find, Schroders offers a tangible benefit for those taking the time to participate in the scheme and grow the profession.”
Philip Middleton, Head of UK Intermediary Business, Schroders said: “Financial Planning continues to be a very important profession for those wishing to seek financial advice and it is one which, over the past few years has been under increasing pressure. Our business has a wide-ranging set of skills and knowledge which I am hoping we can share and collaborate, through this mentoring programme with the CISI.”
