Finance professionals working in the investment funds sector in Cyprus are about to gain a global competitive edge via a new agreement between their professional body and the world-renowned Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
The Nicosia-based Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA), which currently counts more than 200 members and is growing exponentially, has agreed on a partnership with the CISI which will offer CIFA CISI Corporate Supporter status and two additional benefits:
In addition, CISI and CIFA are committed to organising a joint Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event in Cyprus annually.
Kevin Moore Chartered FCSI, CISI Global Business Development Director said: “We are delighted to enter into this agreement with CIFA. Our partnership means that CIFA members will be able to further enhance their professionalism by benefiting from our extensive CPD programme. This will keep their expertise up to date, giving them a competitive edge that will ultimately benefit their clients.
Our e-learning modules, some of the latest which are tailored specifically for the Cypriot market, help practitioners stay up to date in whichever way suits them best: online 24/7, via our Review member digital/print magazine, CISI TV online platform and CISI CPD events in Limassol and Nicosia.
We very much look forward to welcoming CIFA members into our global professional community.”
Angelos Gregoriades, President of CIFA said: “This important agreement will further enhance the knowledge, professionalism and capacity building of the vibrant and fast growing investment funds sector of Cyprus through the programs offered by a leading world class institution such as the CISI. We look forward to a fruitful and productive cooperation with CISI locally, regionally and internationally”.
