The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has appointed Colin Anderson as its new Client Relationship Manager Scotland.
Colin joins the CISI from Ignis Asset Management Glasgow, where he headed up the Learning & Development function for 10 years, supporting investment managers, finance, legal, compliance and operational employees.
Outside of work Colin is a huge movie fan with a film collection spanning from the 1920s to the latest blockbusters and his music is currently being converted back into vinyl. He has been married to his wife for nearly 23 years and they have a son. He also enjoys rugby, football, cooking and photography.
Kevin Moore, Chartered MCSI, CISI Director, Global Business Development, said: “We are delighted to welcome Colin as our new representative in Scotland where we are very proud to have 1,400 members. Our overriding objective is to work with those members to help raise professional standards in the financial services industry and we believe a true professional combines knowledge, skills and, crucially, the right behaviour. Colin’s role will be to take that vision and make it something real - supporting the provision of professional education for new entrants and experienced industry practitioners right across Scotland.”
Colin said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to help support the membership and firms within Scotland and to further develop the CISI’s involvement with schools, colleges and universities. I am confident that my experience and knowledge of the practical issues faced by financial services businesses in Scotland can be put to good use and I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
